This past weekend marked the 3rd Annual IronMen Outdoor Ministries and Shadow Majik Outdoors Military and Special Ability Kids Hunt, and it was another powerful reminder of what faith, fellowship, and the outdoors can accomplish when people come together with a shared heart for service.
Over the course of the weekend, participants experienced meaningful time in the field, surrounded by encouragement, patience, and genuine camaraderie. By the end of the hunt, there were 12 deer harvested, one deer that a dog was unable to recover, and one missed opportunity. While the harvest numbers tell part of the story, the true success of the weekend was found in the memories made and the bonds formed.
The hunt provided opportunities for youth with special abilities to experience the outdoors in a supportive and inclusive environment. From quiet moments in the stand to celebrating together afterward, each experience was filled with smiles, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment. Beyond the hunt itself, the weekend was marked by great food, shared laughter, and time spent building relationships that will last far beyond these few days.
We are deeply grateful to ShadowMajik Outdoors and Ironmen Outdoor Ministries Gulf Coast Region for their continued partnership and dedication to making this event possible year after year. Their commitment, along with the support of volunteers, landowners, and families, creates opportunities that many of these kids may not otherwise have.
Events like this are a reflection of our mission in action. They show what can happen when accessibility, compassion, and faith come together to serve others. We are honored to be part of these moments and look forward to continuing this tradition of service, fellowship, and outdoor experiences for years to come.
